Conference Objectives

The North Coast Integrated Regional Water Management Planning (NCIRWMP) process is a highly successful collaboration among numerous stakeholders in the North Coast region of California. To date, the NCIRWMP has received over $27 million in grant funds for planning and project implementation focused on salmonid recovery, watershed health, water quality and water supply. Future funding, via Proposition 84, will bring a minimum of $37 million in additional resources to the North Coast region.

The North Coast IRWMP conference is an opportunity for partners and stakeholders to participate in the planning process, and to:

  • receive updates on the current state of the North Coast IRWM plan, process and projects
  • learn about new approaches and opportunities in watershed and integrated planning
  • provide input to the North Coast Integrated Regional Water Management Plan and the California Water Plan
  • hear about future funding opportunities
  • learn about innovative technical methods for watershed planning
  • review and consider options for integrating economic development, energy, climate change, and land use issues with local and regional plans
  • network with local, regional and statewide officials and stakeholders
