Governance - North Coast IRWMP
Seven counties and North Coast Tribes comprise the leadership of the North Coast IRWMP. The participating counties include:
- Del Norte County
- Humboldt County
- Mendocino County
- Modoc County
- Siskiyou County
- Sonoma County
- Trinity County
The North Coast IRWMP Policy Review Panel consists of two Board of Supervisors' appointees and alternates from each of the seven counties and three Tribal representatives and alternates selected by the North Coast tribes according to the “Tribal Representation Process” as defined in the North Coast IRWMP Memorandum of Mutual Understandings. This governing and decision making group provides direction and oversight for the North Coast IRWMP process. The North Coast IRWMP Policy Review Panel is committed to
transparency and inclusion, supporting input from stakeholders from
throughout the region, as well as information sharing via the website
and workshops. All meetings are noticed in advance, open to the public,
and all meeting summaries and information are posted on the NCIRWMP
website.

Technical Review – North Coast IRWMP
The Policy Review Panel is supported in their evaluation of projects and plan development by the Technical Peer Review Committee (TPRC). The TPRC is comprised of technical & agency staff appointed from each county Board of Supervisors and Tribal representatives and alternates selected by the North Coast tribes according to the “Tribal Representation Process” as defined in the North Coast IRWMP Memorandum of Mutual Understandings. Expertise on the TPRC includes fisheries, ecology, engineering, agriculture, geology, conservation, watershed planning and management, and water infrastructure.
