City of Etna Water Supply Improvement

City of Etna, Siskiyou County

Project Abstract:

The City of Etna Water Supply Improvement consists of improvements and repairs to the existing diversion dam structure and Etna water diversion, construction of a new fishway, enlargement of the sediment basin below the dam, replacement of the fish/debris screen, installation of a sluice gate on the 12” bypass pipe, installation of stream flow gages, and new fencing for the dam fishway area. 

Project Goals:

  1. Improve the City of Etna’s water supply reliability.
  2. Provide for upstream passage of Coho salmon and other anadromous fish above the diversion dam.

Budget:

IRWMP Proposition 50:           $485,566

Funding Match:                      $  86,000          

Total Project Cost:                  $571,566
